Al Mutanabbi Street Starts Here Intercultural Dialogue

April 22 @ 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Free

Since 2014, Al Mutanabbi Street Starts Here Coalition of Oregon celebrates hope and joy to defeat terrorism. The bombing of the “ancient bookseller’s street” remembered–the street of the Shabandar Cafe where Iraqi writers, intellectuals and ordinary people would congregate to work and converse. This was an attack on books and on ideas that pierced the heart of San Francisco poet and bookseller, Beau Beausoleil, who has put out numerous calls for artists, printers, poets, writers and print makers to respond to this attack.
